He did it!

Nathan is officially potty trained! YAY! I am now back to only one in diapers. That is an extra savings of at least $40/month. He LOVES wearing big boy underwear and is so proud to say "I don't wear diapers anymore!". Every night we lay out his underwear for the next day on a little chair in his room and the first thing he does in the morning is go potty and put on his underwear. I am so thrilled that it is "fun" for him. I had no idea what it'd be like training a boy. When he was first showing interest in going potty he would sit down (like a month or so ago) but now he a big boy and stands up :o) He is exactly the same age Kaitlyn was when she potty trained, two years and seven months. This is one area that I don't mind him "growing up" in. He is getting big so fast and I want it to slow down but I'll take this big milestone even as early as it is. I told Nathan once he went three days in a row without having an accident we'd get him his big boy bike. So that is what we did this weekend. Except, it isn't a brand new bike, it's actually Barrett's old bike but to him it's HIS new bike. We did get him a new helmet which I really thought he was going to sleep with last night. He did not want to take it off! He even wore it trick or treating. I intended on getting him the smallest bike but so far he is doing pretty good on this size even though it is slightly too big. In another couple months it will be perfect. This morning Nathan said "I'm great at this!" and he is. In the middle of riding this morning he got off to go inside and potty. Even in the midst of his excitement he still remembers to go on his own. I don't nearly have to ask him as much now. I love this sweet boy and I am one proud mommy.
(ps. i have no idea why this post is underlined)
